I really like this new rack of yours. (I follow you on Instagram and saw it there first.)

How tall are the towers? Are there different height options?

Do you have a list of tonneau covers your rack works with?

    Looks like a great product!

    Thanks Dan!

This is setup for 12" to top of rack.
In my opinion - best balance between fuel economy and space under the rack/rear view mirror view.

I have no immediate plans to introduce additional sizes, but I expect to have a taller version later in the year (just gauging interest).
Would be looking at approximately 18" if that's the case.

I don't have an extensive list right now.
If you currently have a tonneau cover, send me some pictures or the brand and model and I can let you know.

If you don't have a tonneau, I can certainly recommend a few I know will work and are good covers (from budget minded to top dollar).

    A couple updates:
For anyone looking for the ideal tonneau cover / bed rack setup, we've got a great match with a Truxedo cover.

Pictures below is our modular bed rack paired with a Truxedo Pro x15 tonneau cover.

We did a quick writeup about tonneau compatibility if you're interested in checking it out - https://www.overlandracksontario.com/oro-blog

Aside from that, we have our new 19" model coming out this month!
Below is a comparison of the 19" vs the existing 12" model.
Available on our site for ordering now :canada:

I'm wondering what the feasibility is of just having side panels without a top. I have a softopper and have no intentions of getting a RTT. Would sides without any top cross bracing be strong enough to have something like an awning attached? I have a couple of ideas that involve working around a softopper but it'd be 100% custom

Sorry for the delay, but better late than never!
Short answer - no. Without some form of cross bracing, there is nowhere near enough support available and you'd damage the bedsides and/or rip the accessory rails off the truck.

Having said that, we do make custom round tube racks that work with softoppers shown here.
