It would be great if OVTuned would create a "Tune Marketplace" for community tuners to sell their custom tune files. I would be willing to buy tunes (like Apps in an AppStore) for reasonable fees.

You can do that. pm @PapaRee has the most popular custom right now "da kruiser 4.0". Just ask him for a version for you ecu and pay him.

Hell, I have a custom variant im just about done with: "Stormp special" :turtleride:.

Hit hit up some folks dude!

Sell one of mine for $0.99 like an app lol. We pretty much have a tune marketplace right here. You need to sift through a bit but it definitely comes up.

I copied the optimal transmission torque base warm engine values into all of the transmission throttle reduction maps that do not have a red line through them in the image below. I did not touch the maps crossed out with the red lines.

What benefits would come from this? I'm trying to think how it would affect anything other than smoothing shifts.

i did the same. Didn't touch the high or low speed interpolation ones either. Looking forward to shaking it down a bit. I had already tweaked most of them anyway, but not copy/pasted one into all the others. I have a good tune to revert back to if I don't like it, but I have high hopes this will make improvements.

These maps are labeled misleadingly. These maps control when the truck shifts, and I think they have more influence than the 2D speed vs accelerator shift schedule maps. See this thread on the vF Tuner forum: https://forum.vftuner.com/forum/toyota-3-5l-2grfks-development/1733-transmission-torque-models

For me, doing this got rid of all of the wonky shifting, when the truck would downshift for no reason, or upshift when it wasn't appropriate. Shifting is now very predictable and always on time in terms of speed and pedal input.

Can you, or someone post a screenshot of warm base #1?
I'm at work, and would like to take a peek if you could be so kind.

Good stuff. That link to the VFTuner forum was informative, too. Thanks!

I figured it was for shifting. I have taken out weird shifts with up and down points, might look into moving around the torque maps for 1.7 and on.

Do you see any improvement on 4-5 upshift hangs under the load?
Could you or someone post tables for 4wd, Cold so I correlated to old version naming?
    Thanks

It’s still there in the tunes I’m testing with a few versions of this map. Only in D though, S shifts. Need more miles though.

My truck does upshift into 5 on inclines where it previously would not. I am running over the mountain in 5th now, previously it would downshift to 4 and stay there. I am sure further refinement of the single torque map could get it to upshift how you like. I don't have access to my maps right now to post, will try to later.

These torque shift maps make a HUGE difference! Time spent perfecting these is a must.

Yes. These were the maps I've been looking for all along. Nice to finally meet them.

I have noticed after adjusting the torque maps that my truck pulls in 6th gear before downshifting and downshifts when it needs too. Also noticed the pull in 2-3 gears is really nice.
