I'm a new truck owner and have never been 4x4 in oregon. I want to try out my new truck here in oregon but have no idea where to go. Can someone help me out in finding a place?

The other thing to do is look up some USFS MVUM's (motor vehicle use maps). You can print them out, you can pick them up a most Ranger stations, or you can even download them from an App like Avenza for georeferenced maps. It's always good to have a paper map...

Avenza isn't really my favorite app, it's pretty clunky, but it's an easy way to get the georeferenced maps on your phone to overlay your GPS location.

These don't really have much in the way of trail ratings, but they're good maps in general. I like these maps because they have a simple white background, and it's easier to locate roads and navigate from one road to the next. I use a different app (Backcountry Navigator) when I need topo maps or just an overall better map interface.

    Mt Hood NF MVUMs:

    Willamette:

    you get the idea...
