You need a 10mm, one crescent wrench, one par of channel locks, duct tape, zip ties and a headlamp. That is all.

18 in breaker bar and the correct 1/2 in socket for your lug nuts.

Check out Atlas46.com for tool rolls. Pricey, but extremely well made. Also, I’d add a tire plug kit to what you’ve got so far.

I bought a 12 and will cut a cheater tube the same (only to cut down on amount of tools and be able to use 3/8). Have it on the tire tool roll so it gets strapped with it.

I use that tool roll for work and it’s amazing- holds up to heavy daily work abuse. Easier to carry than a box too (I don’t use it for my truck but just vouching)

Id recommend the black jack tire repair. Pricey but solid core handles are better than hollow, handles are gripped too. Solid kit but only missing some sort of pliers for pulling nails

I added a battery jump starter- I bought the noco.40, I’m a bit weird on torque specs so I also have a torque wrench, emergency led flashers, magnet for roadside visibility. Still adding to my kit

This is the tire repair (half pictured). Also a decent digital tire gauge and caps. I duct tape little strips to keep some of the tools in place in the case and pair of disposable gloves. Shop towels go in Plano box in bed

I, unlike many on here, carry way too many tools. My kit has any tool I need and more, I don't only think about fixing my truck but other trucks if they do happen to break down so I actually carry around a full set of SAE short and deep sockets even though everything is metric on our trucks. If you have any aftermarket accessories that uses hex or torx, I'd consider throwing that in your tool kit as well. I have thought through almost every worse case scenario and have purchased some expensive products that are a "just in case" item.

I also carry around a safety seal tire plug kit, spare tire valve cores and Coby external install valve stems just in case I break the valve stem on a rock or something.

One time I was on my local trail and a kid flags me down, says he has a flat and that he has a spare but no wrench to remove the lug nuts and asks if I can help. I have my folding cross bar so I agree to help him. I get there and the tire is completely flat and beyond repair, I break the lug nuts free and we jack up the axle. We put the spare on and they proceed to put the lug nuts back on but stops and says they don't fit. I'm like"wtf do you mean they don't fit?" Turns out he was on factory wheels and lug nuts, and the spare is a aftermarket method wheel which uses conical lug nuts, not the flat type that oems use. I just so happened to have 10 spare gorilla lug nuts on me and we proceed with mounting the spare. Kid thanks me and tries to offer me compensation, I tell him don't worry about it, I carry these just in case even though I can't use them.

In short, it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
