Chrome. A classic feature of a beautiful vehicle.

But nowadays, seems everyone is trying to delete it.

I think it still looks great. i love my black truck with that pop of silver.

I’d love for some ideas on how a well appointed truck can look.

Thread for people who still like a bit-o-bling.

Post pics of your rig w/ chrome.

I love chrome on my truck. Gives it a more premium look over base modal black plastic parts.

I did get rid of the rear chrome bumper in favor of a aluminum rear bumper, but that was more because the front bumper has no chrome on it, why should the rear.

The grey in the tail light is similar if not the same as the mgm paint color, the color of my truck. It’s a nice addition.

I love it too, in tasteful amounts. I know I’m definitely in the minority on TW, but I would be interested in what others have done. I have the tailgate letters in chrome and delight in the chrome accents that Toyota has chosen to provide. I like chrome against black, and in some instances against my Barcelona Red Metallic.

Thanks for showing us that there CAN be too much of a good thing. Pulled from a Ford site, I assume. ;)

I am not so sure I like chrome all that much but it is the contrast between colors. I have a black 2016 SR5 and like my rear chrome bumper ends. I also did the chrome tailgate letter inserts. I have stainless steel steps also. I would like to get some better wheels(stock steelies now) in the near future. I get many complements also.

Chrome's popularity seems to go in and out from time to time over the years and I like it on some vehicle and applications. I love the chrome wheels on my C7 Corvette for example.

Just like every other design element you have to know where to stop, as too much chrome looks "gaudy" in my opinion.

I've never understood those who absolutely HATE chrome, to the point they would go through the expense and TROUBLE switching out subtle items such as interior gauge bevels, switches and such,
    That seems CRAZY to me.

Yeah, I did replace my chrome grille with the pro grille just cause I like the look of it better on my Limited. I have also ordered the Pro 4 runner rims from FSW on here because I really like the look and wider stance it will give my truck. I will have to see how it looks when those are on but Im not crazy about deleting all the chrome off the truck.

I like a good mix, I dechromed my badges and put the black tailgate letter inserts in, on a 2020 Trd or it makes the balance of black accents and chrome accents really pop. Also glad I have stayed away from the Trd pro grille. Where I live there are more Tacoma with that grille than the regular so it’s easier to find my truck in the parking lot.
Now we just need chrome blower coming out of hood and a lowering kit and it’s all good

I grew-up around Hot Rodders, in the 80's when Chrome was king, so I've seen what happens when Chrome gets out of hand but. Personally, I'm happy to have a tasteful amount of Chrome on my truck. I've not added any to my truck, though I've not taken any off either.

I like it, but it has to be tastefully done. The chrome bumper caps on the rear and the chrome tail lights just don't look right. However, the interior is tastefully done, as is the front in my opinion (even with the cheese grater grille). Chrome deletes for the interior just make the truck look more cheap, in my opinion. I can see blacking it out; but, I just don't understand deleting just for the sake of deleting it.

Same here, I grew up with muscle cars and Harleys (80s and 90s) then got into cars in the fast and furious stages where everyone painted everything inside their car to match the outside. I think that left a bad taste in my mouth on the color matched chrome delete stuff.
