I have a 2015 Toyota Tundra that has issues. A few of my issues are that the wipers will work without the key in the ignition as well as the windows (even after the door has been opened). Also the A/C light and defrost light remains on after the key is removed unless you switch off the A/C manually prior to removing the key. Also, the light on the back of the cab (bed light) seems to flicker if you have it on

Back story on the truck: The truck worked fine. There was a temporary key made for it to get the vehicle home where it sat for 4 months. After that time, the original key was reprogrammed so it would work again but the guy was unable to get the key fob to work even though the actual key would work. After a couple of days, I noticed the issues stated above where the windows would roll up and down with the key out and doors open as well as the wipers working and the A/C light on. If it sits for a few days the battery goes dead. I replaced the battery with a new one but that didn't change anything. I took it to the Toyota dealership where they said they thought it was the body control module (BCM). After spending over $800 on the new BCM and several hours with 3 Toyota master techs, I still have the same issues. They said there is no battery drain yet if it sits for 3 days its completly dead. They told me I could bring it back in for them to trouble shoot on it more since this was on a Friday afternoon but I haven't. Also I had the windshield replaced the day after the dealership visit. When the man had the windshield out, the issues stopped. The wipers wouldn't work nor would the windows like they are suppose to so I thought maybe he fixed it by knocking a wire in place or whatever. The next day I get in it, thinking its now fixed and the issues have returned. The people at the Toyota dealership were baffled just as much as I was so I thought I would check online to see if anyone has had issues or what others thoughts might be as why this is happening.
    Thanks

Tundras.com might be more helpful, why was a temp key needed? Who made that temp key? Did he take the steering column apart? Sounds like the truck thinks the ignition is in the on position. Damaged ignition position switch, from the guy screwing with it? maybe crushed wires closing the ignition on circuit? strange.

The temp key was made because the original wasn't around, nor was I at the time. I'm not sure if he had to take apart the steering column apart or not? You might be right though. These items are getting power from somewhere. Thanks for the reply.
