So far so good. Appreciate all the advice. Since it’s just bare metal tub I don’t have any carpet or seats to deal
With. So after vacuuming up and air blow gun out all the crevices I sprayed the whole thing down with hot water and Dawn from one of those pump garden sprayer. Let it sit a day and repeated 3 times.

put the truck up on my oil change ramps that I put on two pallets so I have a really good slope and used the pump sprayer with just hot water to rinse. By this point there was very little oil residue.

then I treated all the seams in the sheet metal and corners with ZEP industrial oil and grease cleaner that had a citrus smell. I joke but dang it smells better that old oil.

final stages was to go to the DIY carwash with my ramps again and use the low pressure washer and sprayed it all out over and over. Ramps were KEY for drainage. Drove home and spent two hours with the blowgun on my compressor getting a everything as dry as I could and getting moisture out from seams and corners etc. I think I’m done.

    Fml.

    lesson learned.

How about some photos of your FJ floor? (Doesn’t take much to entertain us around here)

Rent a rug cleaner. Suggest using something like simple green. Really do not recommend gas, acetone etc. Combustion hazard.
