I've heard that for IFS vehicles a 4" lift is the limit because the upper control arm basically touches upon the coil and going further would begin to affect the drivability of the vehicle. However, it's unclear to me if at 4" I would still get full wheel upper and lower travel and flex, or if even at 4" wheel travel begins to sacrifice? Also, if it's leveling the front of the vehicle does that still count as a lift? Additionally, for example, the Chevy Colorado ZR2 is lifted 2". Are the CVs and everything corrected for this, which means that I can get another potentially 4" of lift, or is everything left the same as an LT Colorado, for example, and the 2" just lifted for the ZR2 so that they actually do count against lifting further? Furthermore, if it's a solid axle vehicle is the sky the lomit in terms of lifting the vehicle? Also, I've heard that lift blocks for off-roading are a bad idea, is this true? And finally, this question is very specific to the Toyota Tacoma. All trims of the Tacoma have the exact same approach, breakover, and departure angles; except for two: the TRD Off-Road and the TRD Pro. The TRD Off-Road shares the common breakover and departure angles with the rest but has a higher approach angle. However, all angles are higher on the TRD Pro. My question is if the actual bodies are different for these trucks or if it's different tires or lifts? I'm wondering because even with the option 2" lift fron and 1" lift back the other trims are still below what the TRD Pro offers. So does this mean that the actual physical shape of the TRD Pro os different that the rest?

    Thanks
