I bet your new multi meter ended up costing you less than the dealership would have charged you to replace said fuse. That's a win in anyone's book!

Yup ... That's a tool everyone should have. Even a cheap-o will at least tell you 'Good/No Good' on a fuse. I've actually had fuses before .. Be them the blade kind or the little glass tube ones .. Where they 'looked' OK, but were bad. As in they blew on a spot you couldn't see.
Glad to hear. You'll sleep well tonight! (Besides getting out 'cheap' .. LOL!)

Agreed fuses with multimeter cost me like 95$ and the multimeter is a damn good one from what I was reading up on.

I just noticed you have a 2016, have you ever replaced the battery? I had one that made all kinds of warning lights go crazy, and all I needed was a new battery.

Yeah I think so , I don’t wanna bring it into the dealership but I just can’t seem to find it. Plus the fact that it happened again and didn’t flip a fuse is a bit odd

I think first I’ll go through the internal wiring behind the ac controls cause that’s were I have my accessory Mount wired to. Maybe it shorted out. May just unplug it and see if that works. I just think it’s a bit weird I didn’t have a fuse flip. I unplugged my switch pro unit so there’s no external wiring other than my accessory Mount so I’ll have to check that tomorrow after work possibly.

It is a newer battery but that’s true I may just order a new one and see if that works might as well have an extra one

You’ve got the multimeter. Just test the battery loaded and unloaded.

If it’s a short making all those different controls fritzing out it’s gotta be a fuse. If not that then a loose connection.

I tested all the smaller fuses like 3 times over to make sure I didn’t miss one as far as larger fuses go those all checked out fine as well. Its gotta be something to make them all go on the fritz like that

You may not want to do this, but I'd check all the wiring mods you installed for anything shorting out.

Funny thing I was in the process of doing a switch pro unit as well so right now everything is not wired in or hot

So I hate to see these post months later and the problem is still there. This guy was on target but it's a very important aspect to continuity. When I worked for KIA, my boss required us to re-do the grounds on most vehicles with more than 4 codes. Snowflake washers (lockwasher) are your friend and will eliminate any question on voltage, resistance, ohms, or whatever. It's a boring process. Most vehicles have at least a dozen of various sizes.

Yeah that's true, but question being if am having a bad ground and its shorting all this stuff out shouldn't it be popping a fuse ? That's what happened the first time. I unwire what I did changed the fuse and it was fine. Now all the fuses are fine but issue is still there. I know the last thing I want to do is take it to a dealer cause i feel like theyll be charging me an arm and a leg and then some !
