So I’m buying a 24 ft bay boat, weighing 3500-4 k pounds. Pretty sure my 2019 v6 Tacoma doesn’t have the towing package. Can it will handle the job or should I get something beefier? Thanks in advance!

get trailer brakes and youll be fine.

haha yeah if you need to toss it in 4lo u can. I use 4wd on the slippery ramps because of that, but depending on the spot 2wd would be fine. Youll have the power to pull it out though

24’ is a large boat. Without knowing what specific boat model it is, I’d say it weighs a minimum of 4000lbs. And that is not counting the trailer. It’s also a big heavy trailer to support that boat. The trailer probably weighs 1,500 lbs or more. You need to add the boat and trailer weight to figure your gross weight. You are way over weight , especially since you don’t have a tow package. You are probably approaching 6000lbs.
As far as getting up the ramp with 2 wheel drive it will be a little struggle with that big boat and trailer. If it’s a steep or wet slippery ramp , you may need some help getting the boat and trailer up the ramp. For that size boat/trailer I’d want a larger truck or if I had to with a Taco then I’d want the tow package and 4wd. Good luck with your boat purchase and towing it with your Taco.
