Is pretty sweet! Last year for the solid front axle. Looks like it needs some mudders on her and she be set

Too bad when they re-painted it that they didn't take the time to do under the hood properly. Other than that, it's a pretty cool truck.

I had an 85 that I bought brand new. It was the last year for the solid front axel. Mine had the 22R with the 5 speed trans. I thought the 22RE came out the following year. When I bought mine, there was the same truck on the lot but it was a diesel. I didn’t know much about them so I went for the gas one. Got well over 300,000 miles on it before I was rear ended. I miss that truck.

Had an ‘85 bought new. They had some issues. Driving down the freeway and the windshield suddenly cracked. Replaced it, same thing happened. A year after buying it the AC blew a hose and had to buy a new compressor. Head warpage was well known issue for that year and that cost me. They used caulking instead of a gasket on something, I forget. The factory worker didn’t quite go all the way around with it. Drove it until 2000. Bought a new Tacoma. Had to move that ‘85 twenty yards while selling it and after driving the new Tacoma for a week thought to myself “what a bucket!” I absolutely hated the Nissan trucks of that year tho, so I was pretty satisfied with that ‘85 overall.
