    If they don't have the appropriate tools or knowledge to do a job, they shouldn't be using a customer vehicle for OJT. "We can't/won't work on that" is a much better response than "Ooops, sorry. Good luck with that"

    No right that is what they should have said. But if they choose to work on it and then damage it, I was saying that a lawyer, (if someone went through the effort to get one) would have an easy win.

    Basically I was just saying that BS excuses don't really hold up in court if they go that far

    Gotcha. I misunderstood. I thought you were saying a lawyer would laugh at someone that wanted to pursue action against a dealer that damaged their gear and then said "too bad".

    Do you know how the work was done? Did they remove anything and did they repaint it?

    URD short shifter, 285/75/16,
    May have been recommended already but when discount tire did the same thing to my month old methods, I raised hell and told them I’d buy a tire from them if they replaced the wheel and I would use it as a full size spare. That worked out for me.

    I believe he sanded it down and then repainted it. After about a year later and 4 tire rotations, i cant tell which one was the refinished rim
