    FS: Toyota V6 8" 3rd Member Differential - 4.10 - Non E-Locker - aka ' The V6/Turbo 8" diff '
    Asking Price: $250
    Location: Baltimore, MD
    Pickup Preferred

Selling a Toyota V6 8" 3rd Member differential. This came out of a 2001 Toyota 4Runner, Axle Code A03A, 4.10 Gearing. It is an open differential. The 4Runner had 191k miles when it was removed. No known issues with this differential and I did NOT attempt to take apart anything on the inside.

I'm aware this is a Tacoma forum, but I do not meet the minimum number of posts on the 4Runner sites, so you all get first dibs . According to my sources, this should fit the following vehicles:

    Fits:
    • 86-95 V6 Toyota Pick-up and 4runners
    • 96-2009 present 4runners without Elocker
    • 07-09 FJ Cruiser without Elocker

I was originally planning to just refinish the Rear Axle Housing/3rd member on the stock 4Runner housing, however I later decided to swap for a E-Locking 3rd member instead. The housing had some surface rust forming on the exterior only. The housing is quite thick so its strength is not compromised. The loose rust was knocked off with a wire wheel and wire brush, the rust converted with rust-oleum rust reformer, and top coated with enamel. You can see evidence of pitting on the top surface, approx. 1/16" deep.
