What Kind of Tacoma Did I Buy?

New to trucks, new to Toyotas. A week or so ago I bought a ‘13 Tacoma, double cab, 5’ bed, leather, auto, 6 cyl. Very stock as far as I know. It has no TRD stickers or Pre-Runner labels, it only says Limited. In fact, my insurance agent specifically asked if it had those emblems/labels. So what did I buy, a Limited? What does that mean in the Tacoma universe? Thanks everybody.

The stickers mean nothing, you can get them on eBay. Put your vin into the website above it will tell you everything you need to know.

 

Limited had 18" chrome rims, upgraded stereo, leather seats and body color matched bumpers.

I did that before with my truck. It's funny cause it says my truck is a base model. Yet it has a factory rear locker and TRD badges. Very strange.

 

That is a base model. It also has the TRD Off Road package. Never understood why they list them as a base model except it's not the sport model.

 

Do you have a jbl sound system, good way to tell if it’s the limited.

Its funny that they consider that the base model when it has the rear locker. That's like the most looked for model.

 

SR5, TRD O/R, TRD Sport and Limited are all packages that are ADDED to the Base model.
I believe there are a few other packages, but those the ones you will find most often.
