Do you know whether or not a high resistance causes the injectors to stick open for longer? Or do they not open enough and cause a lean condition?

1 of my 4 injectors had an ohm value of 256 or something ridiculous like that

Sitting on the vaccine hotline trying to schedule an appointment. They just changed eligibility requirements today. I'm sure it's flooded with callers. For background music, I'm listening to something like Muzak that's playing Gladys Night and the Pips "Midnight Train to Georgia" -- helps pass the time.. LOL

If 4 are reading way out of spec, I would be looking to replace them either way. IIRC should be something like 14 to 16 ohms -- ballpark. When mine fail, they usually drop to 0 because the coil failed.

Science trick.. Put them in the freezer and watch the ohm reading change from room temperature.

Just one of the 4 were reading way out of spec like that, the other 3 were around 16 or 17. I remember reading a post you made awhile ago about the importance of testing them at a lower temperature per FSM guidelines.

I was just desperate to get the truck on the road when I rebuilt it and was scrambling due to the faulty pink knock offs I bought. It would barely run with those but runs just fine with the tired stock ones reinstalled.

I've been running my truck for over a year now with the heavy unburnt gas smell and I've always just attributed it to an injector flooding the engine due to it being out of spec, but I can verify nothing lol

Not sure how this type of top feed injector behaves when o-rings go out. On a Nissan side feel they start uncontrollable flooding. Then I learned that flooding will cook the cats and cause them to clog. Luckily I could delete the pre-cats with a catless y-pipe and just have one cat. It was an expensive lesson to learn.

lol. This goes back to Ansible and all of the world being built on a teetering stack of open source software.

I've got an ansible playbook that sets up a server that i can then use to deploy boxes. It pulls down gigs of data from the interwebs, and it keeps failing in random places.

99% sure the problem was my pihole ad-blocker on my network, i pointed it at the google DNS and it seems to be behaving now. argh. :anonymous:
