I was lucky that I had no reaction to either shot, and am now glad that I am on "this side" of the whole thing. Still wearing a mask and distancing until we go at least 2 months or so with no cases

yep...I remember being in K-Mart with my grandma and her practically dragging me around the store to catch the deals when that damned light went off

Thanks. Great to hear. Totally agree with last comments...Can’t manage foolishness or poor personal choices beyond the building level. Unfortunately it’s a small percentage that are affecting the larger community. Today went well though. Our system held and even with the increased numbers every student was screened and in their room on time and every bus left on schedule. It doesn’t get any better than that. Thanks for what you do!

Carbide Canons were the bomb...literally and figuratively. I learned that I could stuff some Estes model rocket wadding in and then roll a large ball bearing down the barrel. Results varied from dropping just out the end of the barrel to through the neighbors window depending on the amount of carbide added. Hahaha great fun...and still have both eyes and all ten fingers. My hearing well that’s another story

My ears are still ringing from all the stuff we did as kids. My eldest brother used to shoot bottle rockets at me from across the cul-de-sac. PVC and a bottle rocket made an effective bazooka.

We used to load the nose cones of model rockets with black powder and then launch them over the jetty. Great fun. Surprisingly never did jail time for some of the stupid stuff I did as a kid.....

    same to you!!!

yeah...I found that the kids were ready to deal with the system just to be back around peers again...as they got comfortable with the system, we did have to do a lot of reminding about keeping masks up/on, but even that has not been as much of an issue in the past 2 months

I do think that the BIGGEST thing that helped us was strongly encouraging people to stay away if they had even the slightest worry about having it. The ability to do remote learning really helped that alot for both the teachers and students...

and I think that we deal with and see the poor choices at home in normal years too sadly

We would build the plastic model airplanes. Then hang um from the ceiling in our bedroom with fishing line. Then shot um down with BB guns.
Being a kid was fun. Until someone got hurt.

Yep! And someone always got hurt...then we would all say “I’m never gonna do that again!” But sure as shootin’ we were right back at it again the next day. It was a brutal cycle of stupidity and foolishness which eventually led to wisdom.
