Morning Pa! Using a couple hours of leave today. Stopping into my Dad's, he has a little project needs done, cooking a corned beef brisket for Rueben's later. Always good to see Dad! Happy St. Patty's day all!

I have a full set, bought the fronts, and was gifted the rears, as the camping and wheeling seems to attract the clay far more than just work tracking it on the boots.
Very pleasantly surprised. Very durable. The water still beads after a couple of years. If you let the clay dry, a stiff brush and vacuum cleans it right up.
Heavy metal toolboxes do not have the corners dig in like on the cloth or neoprene ones.
The canvas is not soft, but is smooth, so you could get a brush burn from antics.
Not for all, but it works for me.

Good morning all! Been too damned busy at work lately to get much time on here. Guess that's a good thing. Wish that envelope they handed me each week better reflected that.......

I did invisalign as an adult to touch up braces as a kid. I think it was 7K, not cheap, but Orthodontists aren't going to undercut their margins on braces with new technology.

Get a second opinion on that, from a Doc who doesn't like to pull teeth. It's harder and the braces take longer to work without surgery, but the long term outcome is better, and the price ends up being about the same.

It took three orthos before my father found one who didn't want to pull several of my teeth to get them un-fucked, but was ultimately worth it. It turns out the structure of your face is, in part, supported by your teeth; and pulling them to "make room" results in a sunken face.

    Working on it
It can also lead to needing to wear a retainer for the rest of your life because your teeth want to go back to where they were.

That's true for any orthodontic work though.

It's currently 40 degrees and sunny here, on the way to a high of 66. Still working on my freeze proof faucet. I want to get down 36 inches below the foundation. My post hole digger broke on my first attempt; the handle had dry rotted (I haven't used it in awhile). Then a few cold and rainy days made it a challenge. The ground - as of a few days ago, still looked to be frozen about 3 feet down. The hole is finally dug. Now to get the parts and then wash the truck in my driveway.

    I agree with this 100%.

The original orthodontist wanted to extract for teeth but now using a pallet expander my son does not have to go through the extraction process with this experience.
Ultimately, everyone is different but if you can avoid pulling teeth to make it work that is definitely the way to go.

aaaand we just got screwed again.
However I will have weekends again!!

We asked for 10’s with a paid lunch. 4 days. Would’ve been an 84 hr pay, but what we got was 4 days, 11 hours, no lunch. Soooo yea.

    Gonna be interesting.

Forgot to post yesterday, we did a traditional crockpot corn beef, and then got one and smoked it. Smoked was the winner in my book!

Understood, he’s got no adult teeth to push the baby teeth out. So it could be interesting .... 6k for the orthodontist work plus the teeth pull.... I almost want to pass on it all but it’s probably not fair for the kid ....
