I bought an 09 regular cab last year. Now I'm looking at replacing the shocks and coilovers on it but I cant find the correct one when i put my truck into those suggestion boxes on websites to "
Find Parts". The guy I bought it from said that it came from the factory lifted. Does anyone know if this accurate? It basically looks like a regular cab with TRD suspension. Thanks.

Yellow shocks are TRD, they don't provide lift.

You have any photos of the front upper shocks to help us?

Pre runners vs 5 lug trucks makes a big difference with parts availability

So the parts that pop up will be the correct height for the factory lift?

I highly recommend just buying a 3rd Gen complete takeoff. You’ll find people selling their low mileage 3rd Gen complete suspensions. I installed a complete Offroad 3rd Gen suspension on my 2015 and it’s been great.

I assume since it's a 6 lug that it is 4x4? I agree with Micbt25 that 3rd gen takeoffs are the way to go. You'll get a little lift in the front, but it will level the truck out nicely. I found my set for a few hundred bucks.

By "factory lifted" they probably mean that it's higher than the 5 lugs. Prerunner and 4x4 regular cabs (6 lug) are higher than the normal 2wd regular cabs (5 lug) from the factory.

    Same as everybody else...
I have a set of take offs from a 15 TRD OR with 5k on em that I bought years ago collecting dust in my garage. Is there a difference in ride or lift between the 2nd and 3rd Gen shocks?

I believe stock 3rd gen suspension is about 1” higher up front. Rear is the same. If you’re looking for just a refresh, I agree stock takeoffs are the way to go. If you’re looking for more lift there’s many different ways to go, but anything that fits a 2nd gen 4x4 will work if you have a 6 lug 4x4

The front coil assemblies are a bit firmer, but in a good way, especially going into turns because there’s less body roll.
