Finally decided the downfalls outweighed the benefits. Granted I’m not off road much anymore but the switch has been night and day. I know allot (not all) buy the AT’s mainly for looks but you missing out on a vastly superior ride.

Mike, I did the same thing on Monday with the same Michelin. I am very happy with the quiet, comfortable ride. A great tire!!

Smoother and I'm guessing you will get a noticeable improvement in MPGs too.

Good tires if you don't need something more aggressive, definitely quieter and smoother.

And way better grip on dry, wet, icy / plowed snowy roads hands down.

    Not to mention longer lasting.

I did the same thing as you OP, went through 2 sets of AT's and always hated the lack of traction, noise etc.... finally made the switch back (had em on an older truck) to the Defenders and will never run anything else on my DD.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
This! The sad part is those new tires will outperform the BFG in every category. That is all I run on my wife's ride and they outperform every all terrain I have ever had. Mud, snow, wet, sand. In everyway they are a superior tire. Hands down those are the best tires on the market.

Keeping my Hakka r2 SUV's for Winter but will leave these on a bit longer next Nov to see how they do.

So far mostly dry roads but very impressed with ride and handling. Feels like a new truck

Anyone that does all or even mostly highway/city driving should run highway tires perhaps even consider going down to 245s if not lifted. ATs are eye candy, sure, but the increased height and weight from bigger tires leads to less stability when cornering, less mpg and a less comfortable ride.

A wise and respectable choice. Hopefully you continue to enjoy your truck!

Maybe 1 tire in a 100 is chosen by intelligent reasoning. Maybe that is too optimistic  Most people choose the wrong tire, the wrong type of tire, and the wrong size of tire for all the wrong reasons.

I have replaced many worn out tires. Never have been disappointed with Michelins.

The list of brands have been BFGoodrich, GoodYear, Continental, Cooper....... When the Michelins were installed every vehicle improved in ride, handling, mileage, fuel efficiency...every metric was better.

When my current skids, GoodYear, wear out a set of Michelin Defenders will be installed. Truck was purchased with the current rubber.
