I’m new here so I guess I’ll introduce myself. My name is Anthony, and about a year ago I graduated high school (which was a fun time). In the past I’ve owned a ‘94 Ford Ranger V6, and a ‘98 Ford Mustang V6 manual. About 2 weeks ago, I bought a 2021 Tacoma. It’s a white TRD Off-Road, 4X4, V6, automatic (I like manuals, but with nearby hills it’s tedious as a daily driver). This wasn’t just handed to me, I had to work hard for it. Because of that I’m very proud of it and I want it to last for as long as possible, which leads me to my question:

What seat covers would you all recommend and why? I’m currently looking at the Coverking Neoprene, Carhartt covers for their durability, and Clazzio leather covers as the semi-luxury option. Any input is appreciated!

Oh there will be some mods all right
Rough country gets a bad rap (and rightfully so on some of their stuff) but they make nice affordable seat covers. Couple guys on here have them.

    Welcome

Wet Oakly (sp?) is another popular choice
I would say some of the choice is dependent on your local climate

Average climate here, really. In the winter it’s normally 20-30 degrees, 70-80 in the summer

I was thinking more rain/mud vs dust

I installed the Clazzio PVC covers on my ex-SR5 ($399 last November). It's actually a nice looking material, with perforation, almost similar to the "leatherette" in other vehicles. I can tell you they are a tight fit but also a pain to install. Once properly fitted, it looked really nice. There were lots of wires under the driver's seat so I did not properly loop the "belts" under the seat. Looks loose in the photo below. The fitment in other seats however were good - actually fooled my neighbor and thought I had leather :) Good luck with your search.

Oh, my bad. I live on a somewhat long dirt/gravel mix road so there’s dust and dirt that gets all over, then a little mud when it’s wet out.

Thanks for the info! I really like the Clazzios, but it’s their price that make me hesitant. If the PVC covers are durable enough though I might get them
