high speed on windshield wipers does not work

Please forgive me if this is in the wrong place but i wanted to reach out to the community to see what your thoughts were. so i have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma dbl cap long bed with sport package. my wipers work on every speed and setting other than high speed. does anyone have a suggestion on where i should start looking to fix this? i have not disassembled the steering column covers to gain access to the wiper switch yet. i wanted to reach out and make sure i cover my bases first and at least get pointed in the right direction for me to research and diagnose. BTW google and other searching has not helped until this point.
