Army Green thread: let’s keep it green!

I was not aware. Felt like metal when I took mine off, so I assumed it wasn't painted. Probably should have spent more time on prep and found out

 

Apparently I was wrong, and they did actually choose to make it that color ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Got in my Depot black bezel tail lights. Never paid attention to the chrome bezel tail lights my Sport came with, until someone on this board mentioned them. Then it's all I saw. Had to replace. It's subtle but looks a whole lot better. Price was right from Unique Style Racing, and they shipped super fast!

I'm with you...I don't have my truck yet, and I already hate the chrome bezel taillights. I have the blackout package on mine that's coming, and I feel like they stand out like a sore thumb. The 3rd gen taillights are just bad in general. I wish they would have done something different with them.

I blocked the oem sticker off with painters tape, sticker came off no problem with a heat gun/plastic razor blade. Cleaned up the glue with diluted alcohol and a clay bar.

Then just squared the new one inside the block, fairly easy.

I have gloss on my truck, my dad has matte on his cement (same seller). Both look good, I personally prefer the gloss.

 

So I know the color wasn't a match but wanted to put them on anyway
I figured for $15 I can change to silver or red but the green grill letters are growing on me....

 

I went with the TufSkinz AG letters - they are a pretty good match.

Where’d you find this info and TIA!! I have my VIN but only get so much on the Toyota owners site.

 

This is from the dealer. I used to sell Toyotas there so they are pretty good about getting me the dealer track updates. Once it has the actual VIN the website is useless for tracking. Your sales guy/manager should be able to email you a screenshot
