So you’re looking to do a personal party transfer (ppt). From him to you. You’ll have to bring it to a FFL and cali and will take 10 days. Just like a regular purchase. The only cost is whatever the dros is. You’d be best asking him to meet at an FFL closer to you unless you want to stay there or drive back after 10 days to pick up your gat piece.

I have no idea about the ammo thing.

Odd question: Does ploymer80 not make the compact long slide frame any more, or did they just change the product code? (P80-PF940CL)

I don’t see it on their site, they must’ve discontinued it.

Make sure to finish the reviewer, they have sample tests at the end. The actual test is easy.

The transfer part is correct but just need to add one very important detail:

Once you transfer the shotgun to your name, the FFL has to keep it for 10 days. You will be able to pick up on the 11th day. This means either a) you stay in NorCal at least 11 days b) come back within 30 days to pick it up

Your hunch is correct about shipping the gun, it has to be FFL to FFL.

So, I think the best scenario is this:

    1. Head up NorCal and visit family. Bring shotty
    2. Give shotty to bro (legal owner of firearm) and have him take to FFL to ship to your FFL that’s closer to your home
    3. When you get back to SoCal, go to the FFL and begin transfer process

As someone already stated, Calguns.net is your #1 resource

I'm pretty sure they discontinued it, I have been wanting to build one but I'm having a hard time justifying the ~$250 they are going for on gun broker at this point.

I’ve been sitting on two for over a year now. Just collecting dust. PM me if you’re interested, I could sell you one at cost. Both are black.

Spent 2+ hours at the gun shop today, didn’t buy anything and my Can hadn’t been transferred in yet but I got a sheet of paper that says “employment application” at the top and 2 employees that said they will tell the boss that they want him to hire me

    Overall not a bad afternoon.

They are much fun. I love the rawness of them, that an speed loading them by removing your spent mag with a fresh one, the charging it with your left hand under the rifle looks bad ass.

Yeah agreed, it’s been a pleasure and I look forward to more range time with it!

For sure, was going to get a wood furniture version, but with an adjustable stock it makes it will fit others well. My 8 year old killed a pig with it the other day. Would be a little too long trigger pull if I hadn’t had the stock shortened up.

That’s what everybody who knows me has told me, I like to think that I’m more responsible than that but we’ll see what reality is.

I forgot to post it here, but I think this rifle is closing in on done. Just gotta work out the handstop/AFG situation, rail covers, pistol grip, and what kind of optic to put on the carry handle. It's definitely the best this rifle has looked since I put it together.

One of the best sketches ever.

Got me some brass prep stuff (woohoo). Also, crimped primers suck.

Do you guys ever find empty boxes and think “man, I wish I had 10 more of these full”?

Dry fire/SIRT training is getting boring but I’m saving this months training ammo for next week as I’ve got some friends coming out from behind enemy lines and I know at least one of them wants to shoot and I’m not going to tell her no.
