I need a truck, and based on my luck with Toyota vehicles, am considering a Tacoma. I don't have a huge budget, and was originally searching for a 2016/2017. But a 2011 has popped up on my radar.

Double cab, 6 ft. bed, and 129k miles. I'm good with everything except the mileage, but it seems like Tacomas have the capability to last a while. I guess my questions are:

2011 - decent year? My consumer reports only goes back to 2013.
Mileage - given decent care, what's a realistic mileage to expect before you have to start replacing major parts?

    Thanks in advance!

Welcome to TW...That’s a good year and that mileage should be of no concern.

By 2011 all the 2nd gen issues were worked out. Should last to 300k+ if well maintained.

Top year, mine has 180k hard milage and still going strong.

The engine design is the best and it has a transmission from the tundra

129k would not bother me on a Tacoma, regardless of the year. If you're good with the price, and the Tacoma isn't beat or rusty, I'd say go for it.
