In other news went down to the 4WP store to order a defender rack. Last minute decided on a different size, that they were out of stock of. Yeesh

I sat in the parking lot looking to see if anywhere else had it and kept smelling gas. Figured it was one of those big trailers going by.. but it was strong. I hop out and got a football size puddle with an active drip right below my fuel tank!! Geeeez. I scramble to source it with a flashlight, but I had all kinds of mud still caked in there from last weekend.

I quick search on here what it might could be in hopes of targeting a few areas better. It was higher than the tank so maybe from the spouts connection. I look a little harder and could see the mud was wet all the way up past the rear window. Window??? Ahhh shiutt both my rotopax had blown their gaskets, lol.

And with gas these prices these days don’t tell me it was a cheaper fix :p

only lost what I saw there, but weird how stuff happens while you’re there to catch it vs coming back and tinking some blimey bugga tiefed mi petrol !!

Seems like everyone that has Rotopax gets leaks eventually. I just leave a small Jerry can in the bed instead. I don't know if it's #OLAF enough, but doesn't leak.

With being metal, any issue with swelling? I’m not vigilant enough with venting those roto’s after elev. / temp. changes and now they’re stuck swollen.

the leak came from those aftermarket spout gaskets, but anything’s better than the Calif. required locking spouts.. good grief that’s a challenge with 4 gallons suspended in the air, lol

I like the flat design of the roto’s since they’re roof mounted. If I geta swingout might crossover
