3gen double cab long box offroad.

Hi all I have ordered this kit and was wondering what else I will need to do the install?

Also any advice on the install to make it easier would be greatly appreciated.

I have a floor jack and a couple jack stands. I assume blue locktite? Stuff like that. Just don't want to be in the middle of install and have to run around for stuff.

    Thanks

Torque wrench? Also don't forget you'll need a spanner wrench to adjust the coilovers. I know some people make do with a punch or other tool but I'd just spend the money to do it right.

Also with extended travel rears, you may want to consider extended brake lines. Accutune sells those as well, I believe.

Good luck, that kit looks awesome! I'm hoping to buy a Stage 4 setup soon myself.

Probably dont need loctite, but definitely anti-seize.
Skip a diff drop if you were thinking about that.

Maybe look into a carrier bearing drop kit, extended brake lines

I’d do the ECGS clamshell bushing as well.

I recommend getting a new UCA bolt and cutting the passenger side (I think?) off because it's a pain to get out. The other side comes out easily with a small amount of bending the inner fender.

I have the ECGS clamshell bushing and was planning on putting it in when I do the lift. I will add the UCA bolt to my list. I asked about extended brake lines and Accutune said I don't need them. I really appreciate the input keep it coming.

    • Front bump stops?
    • Diff fluid and crush washers? Some will leak out when you pull the CV and its known to be low from the factory.

I just installed basically the same kit with King shocks. I ended up cutting both UCA bolts as the left side overlapped with the body by at least 3/4" and I didn't feel like mutilating sheet metal that much. I did the ECGS bushing as the additional time necessary was minimal compared to doing it later. Also drained the front diff completely and refilled as that was on my to-do list even before the lift came into play.

I didn't see anyone mention grease for the bushings. You'll need something that is compatible with urethane for the UCA's and possibly leaf springs. I installed Deaver leaf packs so they needed it. I used Energy Suspension Formula 5 for all, but will likely use super-lube when I have to grease the UCA's via the zerks in the future.

Will add grease to the list. Is there a seal I need to replace when I change the ecgs bushing?
    Thanks

There is a seal, but depending on the mileage it isn't necessary. My truck had 12500 on it when the bushing went in, so I didn't bother.

I used this video as my guide for CV removal/install. The Loctite scene cracks me up every time I think about it!
