For those who bought a new Tacoma in 2021, any quality issues? I'm curious with everything going on in the world (pandemic mostly) if its affected the build quality out of the factories

I have a 2020 model. It was built in August 2020 which was during the pandemic and I do not have any quality issues that have shown themselves thus far.

unless machines can catch covid i dont really think there would be anything to indicate that the pandemic would affect build quality.

Got mine in December and have only put about 2500 miles on it. I've hauled some stuff, including a load of dirt and rocks. No problems at all so far. If you're new to Tacomas (I was) be aware that they make some sounds that might worry you until you find out that they're normal.

I wouldn't mind seeing a TRD Pro access cab accidentally roll off the assembly line.

I get what the OP is saying. There are industries or companies that have seen a drop in the quality of their products because they have had fewer people to do the work.

Build date October 2020. I haven't noticed any poor build qualities, other than the extremely common things like misaligned rear bumper/bed. Currently having an annoying Android Auto issue, but that's software related I'm sure.

I got my 2020 in July 2020 It sat on the lot 0 days. Has almost 6000 miles on it and no problems. I would have to check my build date but I'm pretty sure it was built during the pandemic.

Edit. I looked at the sticker in my door, shows a date of 6/20 so that would place mine in at May - June time when production was being resumed but still 40% off pre pandemic plans.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Picked mine ('21 TRD OR AC 6AT V6) up on Dec 12, 2020. Now up to 3,700 miles on the odo. Just returned from a 1600 mile R/T to TN. No quality issues discovered yet. Requires a lot of adjustment when coming from a 2006 TRD OR AC 6MT 4.0V6. Feels bigger and taller than my '06.
