So I need to remake the section that bolts to the front cross member and the steering rack. It's the part the skid plate attached too. Since I moved my cross member I have alot of ground clearance and I'm conflicted to how I want to make those bars.

Should I tuck them and drop them down at the end to maximize clearance (red) or make a more gradual drop (green)?

    Goooooood morning Florida

Can anyone tell me if I’m allowed to camp on Grayton beach without a toilet? I’m up in New England and there’s a beach on cape cod you can camp on but needs to have a bog.

also....If it will be shenanigans packed at the end of March? Unfortunately I’ll be there Friday/Saturday March 27th weekend or so. Going through on a road trip and want to go but for Pete’s sake I’m 27 I don’t want to go on spring break.

Thought this was pretty clever tool to remove brake drum springs. I had to file prob like .010” off so the spring would fit.

I always has good luck with vise grips and a pry bar. At least as good a luck as you can have. Fact remains, drum brakes suck in every possible way they can suck and should have been relegated to the antiquated tech scrap heap with the split rim wheel and flat head V8 a long ass time ago, as in before I started working on cars, which was a LONG ass time ago. Right off the top of my head, I can't think of a single advantage of using a drum brake over a disc.

Don’t say this on the Tacoma enthusiast page on Facebook. They will gang up on you saying that drums are better than disks in every way, shape, and form lol

Harbor freight sells these and it's a life saver whenever you need to do drums. When I did my axle swap I did a drum job and tried pliers but fuuuuuck that lol

I bought a set just like that in the late 70's. Good tools to have.
I never had too much problem working on drum brakes since almost every vehicle I've owned had them, at least in the rear wheels. Now that I'm old, fat and weak they are definitely more of a pain.
As a young lad I had a stock 300 HP '69 Chevelle with front drum brakes. At 100+ MPH they were totally useless.
I agree, why are they still in exitance?
I just remembered replacing the tiny emergency drum brake shoes on a 2011 Camry with rear disc brakes. What a freaking nightmare!!!
I think I spent 3 hours doing just one side with the limited access.
