Other way around - China garnish, OEM grille.
Not once have I had an issue; no problems with the garnish I linked.
BUT! I cannot speak to a grille other than the OEM one I picked up from SparksParts. I feel like that is what made the difference when mounting everything up...
An off-brand grille could have some effect I am not aware of.

Upon searching for a garnish i can not believe my eyes! A piece of plastic is really worth $300! Toyota wants to stop the pro grill being installed! Well never mind there goes my chances of swapping to a pro grille. I'll keep my stock 2019 stock grill for now I suppose. Thanks for your help I will definitely purchase fro sparks if the garnish price drops in the future

I think we got wires crossed here bud. Or you are interchanging "grille" and "garnish" by mistake.
I bought the grille from sparks - shipped it to Canada and paid shipping, duty, customs brokerage fee, etc.
Got that garish from Amazon for cheap.

The coupon code I used is in his description.

Like I mentioned above- my dealer wanted $500 CAD JUST for the grille, and another $361 CAD for the garnish. no install/calibration, nothing. Just parts.

No I gotcha, your grill is OEM but your garnish is after market. But I mentioned I wanted the OEM garnish and the replica grill, most folks sensors errors get fixed by simply switching the garnish to OEM. That's definitely not an option right now since the OEM is roughly 400 USD. I will keep your set up in mind. Sparks definitely has the cheapest OEM grill ive seen. I'm not to fond of the hole for the camera, my truck is the 2019 so I don't have the camera.

Ah understood - I'd bet you can look up the correct part number on sparks and order it nonetheless?
    An option anyways. Good luck!

Aftermarket grill and aftermarket garnish from thetacogarage.com. No issues at all even in rain and snow. I put one small washer under the sensor at the top to tilt the sensor up slightly when I installed the grill.

What type of washer did you use? Did you try with out a washer or you have been running the washer at all times?

I just used a washer I found in my garage, about the size of a dime, slightly thicker. I had read that’s what people were doing to fix the TSS pro grill issues, so I just put it in there from the start and have never had any issues. Adaptive cruise control works flawlessly and never had any alerts or warnings of any kind.

Awesome! It seems its pretty much hit or miss with the issues some people need OEM everything only to have issues some people run aftermarket and never encounter an issue. I hope I'm one of the no issues guy. Seems the aftermarket vendor are making products alot closer to the OEM

My Amazon.ca knock off is just fine for me. Has some minor blemishes in the paint below the clear surface, but for what it is, I can live with it. Its covered in a layer of dirt 95% of the time and not noticeable unless you are within a few feet at eye level and specifically looking for it. Sounds like a typical "feature" on these knock offs, so be aware of that if you do go that route.

Aftermarket grille and garnish from Amazon Jumbo Trucks parts.

had to add 2 small washers on the top screw to adjust the angle, works fine since.

I appreciate that ^ I ordered the eBay "OEM" piece and will try it. Jumbo Trucks ships CA only too apparently. I'll try the eBay special and post results. Thanks for the feedback!

At first, Without the washers I had the TSS alarm and adaptative cruise didn’t work.

after adding the washers on the top screw everything works perfectly and the TSS malfunction never came back.

I was hesitant too after reading that some had TsS issues and others didn’t but after lots of reading here I found a member who mentioned the washer solution and later found this video and no issue since. For some reason some grille don’t need this adjustment and others do but in the end it works well.
