Got it out of storage earlier in the year. I have a ever growing list of things to do and a pile of parts. I'm talking to a shop to repair the frame. My welding ability is amateurish and the frame needs more than I can really do myself. Once the frame is solid I can really start having fun.

weird thing that there are NO local shops in my area (west IA east NE) that can or know how to do this reasonably, the dealer parts guy in Sioux City told me to check a few places around that area but haven't been able to yet

No, the shop isn't really local. It's a couple hundred miles south of me in IL. I was never able to find a local shop I liked. I want to learn more welding and do so more to my truck later but I don't trust my abilities on something as structural as what is needed on the frame. The shop I found has worked on 1st Gen Tacomas and was highly recommend by a few folks I know.

I officially retired the Taco from DD duty by adding a 4Rnr to the fleet. I plan to just park the Taco for a bit while I figure out what I want to do with it. Now that I don't need to drive it all the time I can go a different route.

Still talking about options with that shop i mentioned earlier.
