First time posting in any type forum, so we'll see how it goes.
Anyways, I am in the process of ordering a 2021 TRD Sport, 4WD, Double Cap Short Bed in Voodoo Blue. Have to order it do to lack of available trucks thanks to the chip shortage and I really only want the Blue (blue is my favorite color). However, when I get the truck, I plan on getting either the 17" TRD Pro Matte Black Wheels (PTR20-35110-BK) or 17" TRD Pro Bronze Wheels (PTR20-35110-F5). Was looking for peoples opinions on what they like better.

    Two things --
    - If you're spending money on new wheels, then get aftermarket. Most of the OEM wheel offerings from Toyota are just okay looking.
    - Bronze/Gold all day. Black (especially matte black) gets so washed out in the wheel well and by the tires; you end up with so little definition. Plus EVERYONE has black wheels. [insert sheep emoji]

I actually like the look of the Toyota wheels more then most the aftermarket ones I've seen. And I can get these for $167 each. I thought was pretty good. I think the new ones on the TRD Pro Tacoma are nice but they only come in 16" and are only black.

That's they key part of your response. The breadth of aftermarket wheels is vast, even for trucks.

Gloss black -> Bronze -> Gunmetal Gray -> Matte Black

Matte bronze is also nice. Somewhat bright in the sun and almost black in the shade

Did you experience any difference in MPG or noise when you removed the front air dam (for lack of proper name) under the front bumper?

I'll second that, however I might be a bit biased. Mine are the gloss gunmetal color.
    20210314_190628.jpg
But @TocoVooDoo if you'd dead set on the black or bronze, my vote is for bronze. I agree with @savethewheels that matte black wheels are very hard to see since there's no contrast with the tires. I have also seen pictures of the red TRD letters on the center caps of the matte black wheels that faded to pink after a few years - something to consider. Either way, you'll be happy with the TRD Sema wheels! The slightly more aggressive offset (+4mm) puts the tire tread just at the edge of the fenders. Any more than that is actually illegal here in PA, which can be an issue when looking at aftermarket wheels since many people prefer the extra "poke". Speaking of... feel free to drop by the Pennsylvania thread and say hi, lots of friendly folks in there: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/pennsylvania.10467/

Okay, that gunmetal does look reallllly nice. Plus if you want something you don't see every day, that would be a good choice too. I'd like to see them on blue before making that call if it were me though. Black tends to go well with just about anything.

Agreed. Those gray would kinda go with the gray text toyota is using on the decal on the bed of the truck.

Yep, the gray and gunmetal colors go really well with the bed decal and the Sport/Off Road grill.

The ones you have shown there are the older matte gray wheels (PTR20-35110-GR). The ones on my truck are a newer version and are gloss gunmetal (PTR20-35110-G4). The only real difference is the finish and the color of the TRD text on the center cap. I've also heard some people say the matte finish (gray or black) is a little harder to keep clean. In any case, check out BAM Wholesale for some of the lowest prices listed online. You can usually get your local dealer to match those prices, but will still likely have to pay sales tax. That's what I did for mine! Hope this helps! :fistbump:
