AEB system light came on

    This morning on my way to work my AEB light came on and then a few minutes later it kicked off. Anybody have this happen to them? It's the only time I've seen it but i bought the truck used a couple weeks ago.

    That’s probably why. Did you check the VIN history for incidents and damage?

    Were you driving into the bright sun? Once in a while mine will do that and clear itself shortly after.

    Carfax had a minor report but I believe it was in the rear. Tailgate I would guess

    Yup, ice or slush will cause the light too. If your Toyota badge in the grill is covered it will trigger it. Had that happen a bunch of times.

    That’s probably it. The garnish that protects the sensor freeze over at times. Are you running an aftermarket grille or is it still OEM?
