I forgot I had a masterlock on one of my bed hooks that I used to secure my RTT back when I cared enough to do so, forgot it was there and then started worrying about a loud knock from the rear every time I hit a small bump. Derp

My dad had a van with lug covers and one of the lugs came off, the front end knock was pretty loud.

it's funny that you've been talking about making a change and not knowing what/when... as have I. It definitely seems like you are figuring out next moves that are gonna increase your quality of life!

"Fuck that. Do what the fuck makes you happy 'Cause at the end. Who's there? You"

getting a real good chance of working on boundaries this weekend. Staying at my parents house to go through and decide what to keep/get rid of. Wanted an airbnb so I was unbiased as possible but paying $300 a night for a house to have a yard that I can't leave the dogs unattended in wasn't going to be a real option...I get to schedule when/where I spend time with family for the most part and just because I'm staying here doesn't mean I'm sticking around the house all weekend with my dad either.

my dad is real good at the victim mentality so his siblings, BIL, and parents are all coming out to help too

    I have mods
This is why I moved to AZ from San Diego. I now own a house, which I was never able to afford in San Diego, even making right at 6 figures. I don't have to deal with the multitude of humanity there, and have significantly less traffic to deal with. Some people don't care about that shit but it matters to me. QOL is much better here for me than it was in San Diego.

San Diego's a nice place to visit but yeah I couldn't imagine living there, at least not as a place where I wanted to settle

I say this as someone who's only been to the actual city of SD maybe 3 times lol.

right, I've noticed it varies so much by person.

I met someone from NYC who told me Denver was lonely and felt like a ghost town and I laughed til I realized they weren't joking. The missed the hustle, the crowds, the traffic, etc. On the other extreme I feel like the crowds and traffic are far too great

NYC is a concrete jungle in every sense of the phrase, if someone is actually 'from' there I can understand how nowhere else would feel like home. Except maybe the heart of downtown LA but that's tiny in comparison.

    4 run, 2 don't
I did know I wanted to move, and had a 'timeline' of a year and a half to figure out when exactly and where to.

The upside was, running into someone new, which helped to expedite that decision; who woulda thunk it?

    Shit

Staying at their house could be good and bad though, especially after the way you've painted your dad.

I've met a lot of people that live off the victim mentality, my sister being one of them.

Thing is, if my sister didn't get her way or you didn't come through with a favor she requested, she will come up with the most outlandish shit to make you look bad to others even if it means straight up lying about you.

I never shared with anyone but my own close friends about her and her boyfriend stealing shit I had left at my moms house for storage when I got out of the military, or about her on and off (and still currently with) boyfriend who's physically abused her. Nope, cause even though I try to help out, they need to be the one to dig themselves out of their own situation.

Anyway, hope the stay at your parents works out well.

Again remember, you gotta do shit for your own damn self. When you start losing sight of that, think of Molly and Bert; they need ya to be at your best
