    Hey guys I have 12 Trd sport. Noticing a vibration under hard accel. Any ideas?

    Rear leaf suspension. Home done tailgate re-inforcement.
    The standard test for a bad U joint is to see if it moves when the drive shaft is pushed up and down. This may work if the joint is free and worn, but if the joint is frozen, like mine was, the test shows nothing.

    I dropped my drive shaft and immediately was able to detect the frozen joint.

    Miles? Lift? Could be a lot of things. Driveshaft u-joints are possible for sure. Mine crapped out around 110K, maybe do to being a slacker about greasing the zerks. In my case, the culprit was visibly damaged under close inspection under the truck.
