Spent the past two days with @Sixthelement 2017 TRDOR.

Had to take it from this, a terrible state of mud and severe pinstriping

Damn near twenty hours of labor in this restoration, but a friend with a 6MT Tacoma on 34's deserves the attention.

I got to drive this truck around a bit and I have to say that I really enjoy the 6MT paired with the 34's and 5.29 gears. It's very enjoyable to drive and plenty punchy above 2100 rpm. Gas mileage is ~2.5 mpg less than my 2016 with 31.5's and stock gearing, but for the looks and capability, most definitely worth the sacrifice in gas mileage.

I don't normally do this type of work, as Overland Flagstaff is mainly about that rental game, but if anyone in Flagstaff needs a Tacoma spruced up let me know. I just enjoy being around these trucks.

Alright I posted this in classifieds and got no love. Is there anyone that can remove a leaf from each leaf pack for me? Or a shop that's not going to no vaseline me.

And that my friend is a great question. I bought the Dakar HD and I have about a 3/4 forward rake that's bugging the shit outta me. I took my truck to ADS while I was down there and their tech suggested I remove one of the leafs so here we are

I'm assuming you have ADS coilovers...why not just give them a few turns to compensate?

ETA: How new are they? If you don't have at least 1K on them, they likely haven't settled yet...

Are they a stock height leaf? I dont know too much about after market stuff, but taking a leaf out sounds sketchy...if its rated for certain weight you are reducing capacity...imo

Dakar Medium and HD's are both 2" over stock on a 3G. Difference is the Mediums achieve that with 0 lbs, and the Heavies at a constant 660 lbs. IIRC, the only difference between the two packs is the overload.

Hey guys, does anyone have the coordinates to the start of the trail for the back way to Crown King handy?

Hate to ask rather than lookup, I just have my hands full right now and hope someone has handy

Hey guys, just checking in and asking for any prayers, good vibes, and/or positive thoughts.

At some point on Wednesday I had a seizure- a bad one that put me down for the count and I spent an unknown amount of time on the floor comatose until my roommate found me and called 911.

I’m doing better now but it turns out my lupus attacked my brain and gave me lesions on my visual cortex. Fortunately this is reversible but I will be in the hospital for a few more days getting IV drugs and fluids and another MRI to make sure they are gone.

I wish I had better news to share but such is the hand I am dealt. I’m trending in a positive direction though so I guess that’s worth something!

Damn, man. I dunno what to say. Glad you're okay and getting better though!

Don't let it bring you down, find the positives and move forward. Everyone is strong enough to do it, we just sometimes forget we are.
