So I have a 2016 Trd offroad in need of some new shocks soon. Do I stick with the ome bilstien 4600s or get something else?

You tell us! Did they not perform to your needs or what more would you want from a shock?

I mean they work fine. I guess what I'm asking if it would benefit from the upgrade. The current shocks lasted 4.5 years.

Longevity wise? If you're sticking to pavement as a daily driver... stick with OEM.

If you're looking to increase "performance", consider other options. What you expect in performance will dictate what people recommend.

I'd argue you should at least upgrade to a 5100 set. It'll eliminate the mushy response from the suspension when cornering. No reason to go back to the 4600's IMO, plus the cost difference is minor.

5100s are real benefit to the rear of the OR in my experience. Way less bottoming out when loaded, and a much less wallowy drive.

I was thinking the same, 5100s should honestly come from the factory.

I agree, I don't think you would regret going to 5100s. I wouldn't recommend going any higher end than that
