2nd Gen Double Cab - Cap Interchangeability?

Does anyone know if 5' caps are interchangeable between any other truck brands?

I have been looking at some caps on FB and CL. If I see one that came off a Nissan, Dodge, etc., will it be the same fit? or a hack to mount correctly?

For fiberglass shells they aren't cross compatible because most of them wraps around the bed sides. You might get lucky with the aluminum contractor styles ones because they tend to be made to sit on top of the bed rails, but another issues is how the door on the tailgate sealing because all truck tailgates are slightly different.

If you don't care for how it looks you can always add some aluminum tubing/wood 2x4 as a spacer to make everything fit, but you definitely wont get the flush look.
