What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I tried to shop locally (I'm in Simi Valley), but ended up going with RCI when they were having their group buy. Caliraised has a socal pickup site I believe, but I didn't want 0 degree (RCI is 5*). Paint today, install tomorrow (hopefully).

Update 03/20/21--
"It has come to my attention that measuring 3 inches down from the top of the removable panel might be too tight for newer model Tacomas, so I recommend measuring down to 3 1/2 inches from the top of the removable rear panel. This will ensure you clear the bottom of the cup holders. Thank you."

 

Yeah that should work. You are welcome. You do great work and you did warn me about clearances. My main reason for posting was to thank you for the time and effort you put into doing mods. If not for your video I wouldn’t have even tried to pull the console apart to look for a way to accomplish this. Thanks I will keep watching for your mods.

 

Have you checked Facebook marketplace or Craigslist? There are usually some really good options for a lot less. I upgraded to a soft topper, so I have a rough country tri-fold hard tonneau I’d let go to a good home for cheap in the Kansas City area.

Edit: to expand your search, most 2nd get tonneau covers fit as well. My soft topper came off a second gen.

I have an extra set of these taillight housings in the Kansas City area if anyone is looking for them.

 

I was hesitant to mount my front camera in front of the TSS sensor, but from the research I did here, it didn’t sound like it created a problem. I’ve been running it for more than a month with no issues what so ever. Very happy with the camera location:

 

It's the Shelterlogic 10 x 36. I went with the 21oz extra heavy duty cover. It's very heavy.

Do they just make a box with TRD letters?

 

No, they do a grille badge and raised glovebox letters, and they’ve got a hitch cover thing too. I just love that all of the lettering will be perfectly color matched

I really like that low profile tonneau, gotta love that Rough Country low price too! Do you have any idea how much it weighs? The Gator SFX soft tri-fold that I have now weighs about 15lbs, which is great... I'm not a huge fan of the latching system though (a spring-loaded pull handle on each side).

 

Looks great. That red is so nice. Don’t see enough of them though.

If I may ask without spoiling the surprise, what wheel setup are you going with?
