Fullsize isn't ideal for my application, even running the longer bed on the tacoma makes trails considerably more difficult. Most of the trails here were built by and for jeepers. I'm just gonna destroy a full size vehicle on the trail. I like the tacoma platform as it stands, i just need a smidgeon more leg room for those long drives.

Currently in the process of talking with a mobility company that typically makes wheelchair accessible vans to get an idea if they will do it and what it will cost me. From there I will decide on how I want to handle the situation moving forward. If they're unwilling to touch it I'll be looking for someone locally to help me fabricate my own solution.

I’m only 6’3”, but with a 36 to 37” inseam. The seat jackers on the front of the seat, combined with tilting the front of the seat full up or very nearly full up (with the rear of the seat full down) gives me adequate thigh support. I’m guessing you’d need thicker seat jackers for the same effect. I agree you’ll also need to find a way to extend the seat back a bit more. For the rear seat, you should be able to remove the lower part (that gets in your way) quite easily. I think it’s just 2 bolts - I’m not home right now or I’d run out and look.

I know the round-the-world Tacoma guys replaced their seats with something more comfortable (something from Germany - Scheel-Mann? Or something like that). You might want to check out their thread and see if those offer something that would address your problems.

Thanks for the input man! I reached out to a few people on extending or moving the seat rails, no one wants to touch it because of the liability I have learned that the 2020 with power seat creates drastically more head room than the previous years. I guess that explains why I have the head room people are shocked by. I think I'm going to order the seat Jacker's and try em. I think the added thigh support will help battle the hip fatigue on 3+ hour drives. That's honestly been my only real complaint from the ride anyway.

How you even get in is beyond me. My cousin is 6’2 and have to shoe horn him in. He’s not a huge dude either. Could try a seat swap for the Lexus seats. Give more room. But not sure if enough. Was a few threads on here a while back.

Build a roll cage with the new drivers seat attached to this and not the vehicle. Build all the room into the drivers side by removing the stock seats, weld in brackets to hold the new aftermarket seat exactly where you want to be, then mount your own proper seat belts.... or the stock seat repositioned, I dunno.
