    Hi all,
Quick question....I have a 2018 TRD Sport with a non-JBL head unit. I'm pretty sure I know this system does not have a factory amp, but does it have an amplified antenna? Thanks!

I’m going to be replacing the head unit. The Metra AM/FM antenna adapter has a blue wire on it that is used if the truck has an amplified antenna. Otherwise it just gets capped off. I haven’t started the install yet, but I’m trying to understand the process first. Thanks.

I tied the blue wire on the antenna adapter to the blue/white wire on the main harness. which I believe is labeled as amp turn on on Metra / iDatalink connectors.

Hopefully I’ll be able to tell you at the end of the week. Crutchfield should be shipping everything out to me early this week (so they say). The head unit has been on back order for over a month and is expected in tomorrow.

I'll be able to let you know in about an hour. Had to pull my head unit to disconnect the GPS antenna connector from the XM radio connector because I got those two mixed up.

The GPS antenna is on the left side of the radio cavity, correct?

My antennae works with the way I wired it up. Blue to blue/white. Can't recall which side of cavity the antennae came from.

Okay, so the GPS antenna is going to be the white GPS connector on the left side that is not taped to the main FM antenna. Connecting the blue and white wire to the blue wire on the FM adapter did work. I just spliced it in with the blue and white wire coming from the maestro harness, crimped a butt connector onto that side, and then crimped the other wire coming from the head unit to that.
