What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I just checked out your build thread and the plates look really good, definitely changed the look of the bumper.

 

It hides everything the original bumper covered

 

Yes for sure. My 96 is very light like a feather lmao so the 285s rode rough for me. The kings take that roughness away and it still will ride like a truck of course, but dips are like nothing to it. Going 30-40 mph over big dips with the front solid and the back flying lol

Bumper bedlined, new shocks installed. And did a bunch of driving. This thing feels like such a go kart, I love it.

 

Well currently, I've bought the jumpers set leds, the off road engine mounts, new transmission mount and license plate housings.

Also if anyone has some retrofitted housing they want to get rid of holla at ya boi! I can't make a "WTB" post. Still gotta put some time in.

 

Has anyone ever replaced the expansion plugs in the top valley of the block? One looks like it’s leaking coolant but I can’t find any diagrams that show the replacement part for them. Called Toyota parts department and they couldn’t tell me either..

 

I made this one. I have four eye hooks for attachment points and I used expansion nuts and Allen head bolts to keep it attached to the bed liner. The hex key is in my console- takes two minutes to unbolt it. They used to be black but they rust easily. I’ll switch them for silver ones later on.

 

Ok what’s the wheel tire size I need to know

Slick! I like the eye hook addition, I might throw some on too. It would help with the cargo net I have.

Looks like a heater valley pipe gasket issue, possibly an intake manifold leak, but unlikely

 

Drove her down to NC

 

Passed Smog this morning at 332,XXX. It's the little victories.
