I think the big issue would be carrying it where your permit is not recognized, but still being able to carry it in a vehicle. However, in that case, it needs to be in the glove box or center console is some other such place.

Serious questions for those advocating holstered while driving as there are quite a few. I carry AIW a Shield 9, similar footprint as the P365. My holster is comfortable enough for outside the vehicle. But when the seat belt goes on, the additional pressure has to be relieved by giving some slack. This, of course, compromises the effectiveness of that belt. I am a thin guy with a strong abdominal wall that drives in an upright position. The seatbelt is across my hip bones and across my barrel.

Another consideration for my situation is when SHTF, how much internal damage incur when that my body drives forward wanting to meet the seat belt. The only holster that I would trust would be one that meets my hip bones side to side. But, even with Kydex I wouldn't trust the strength of the material to prevent major intrusion beyond the hip bone plane.

Do those advocating driving holstered, carry 3-4 o'clock? That would be the only way I would trust doing so.

I am left handed, so i carry at 9 O'clock on my hip. It is pretty comforatable when driving. But as I have lost weight, it gets more comfortable. My alien gear holster sucked in the vehicle. The one I use for my p365sas is made by Tulster and it is a very comfortable IWB.

So the gun is not between your internals and testing the efficacy of the seat belt during a crash? My preference is carrying in front as that is where I am most aware most of the time. Mostly.

I can't carry like that. It'd be constanly poking into my groin, especially bending or sitting. Not to mention if it somehow discharged!

8 hours in my truck the other day and no issues AIWB with my Tulster. 5'10 - 165...on the skinny side. Feels no different to me sitting vs standing.

To each their own, but it’s always on my body @ 3 o’clock. Doesn’t interfere with seatbelt, etc. Many long road trips, not a bother at all. Like others have said, find a new holster or position for driving.

I carry mine in a Vedder AIWB rig. If it's not on my body, it in an unzipped front pocket of my daypack (sitting in passenger seat) with my blowout kit.

I'm VERY old fashioned and carry a S&W Revolver in an old Galco leather holster - also keep a S&W K Frame in a Galco Horsehide in my glove box.

However I'm chimming in as my wife has a Sig P365for EDC - I bought her a Slim Waist Pack from Coronado Leather - she really likes it , especially when she is driving - she drives a large high top GMC conversion van (think driving a small living room), but I don't think the vehicle will matter. She can easily access the pistol while driving (she is thin) and I assume she has no issues with her seat belt. The P-365 is a nice pistol and my wife enjoys shooting it - my wife also EDC a Sig P-228...she has been carrying that since I bought it for her in 1994...she keeps that in a Galco Purse designed for Concealed Carry.

You may look at the waist pack - you could switch over to your holster after your long trip perhaps.
    Good luck!!!
