Hey y’all, bought my Tacoma back in September last year. I work at a dealership and have been waiting for the right one to come through before I pulled the trigger. Ended up with a 2010 TRD Sport with 90k. She was a one owner and maintained meticulously by a military vet who was super anal about being on time with services. Only thing I’ve done is add a supreme suspensions leveling kit.

Welcome from Charlotte. What was it specifically you were looking for that drew you to the 2010 Sport? Or did you just want good maintenance records?

I’ve always liked the 2nd gen look overall but biggest thing was it had to be a Sport and a double cab. When they guy came to sell the truck to us it was just a plus actually talking to the person who’s owned it since day 1. He didn’t dog the truck and he said the only time he used the 4wd was once when he was driving through NC.

Im a big 2nd Gen fan myself, but I like the 2.5 Gen. I'm sure you'll be happy with it, congrats! I would spend some time making sure 4x4 is all in good working condition, used once in 11+ years.......

I’ve had it coming on 5 months now and I have some property I hunt on that’s nothing but muck to get through when it rains. I’ve used it a handful of times with no issues. I work for a VW dealership and have been here for 6 1/2 years now so any car I’ve bought in that time I’ve always made sure to have it looked at lol. I take it straight to the closest dealer here that sells whichever brand it is and spend a few dollars to have a mechanic inspect for leaks and drive it around to ensure myself that piece of mind. I’m just pushing 100,000 now
