These thing are damn nearly impossible to turn, anyone have any tips? Other than taking the coil over off and taking it apart?.. I have the 5/16 punch.. I wasn't able to move it at all on a jack with the suspension fully uncompressed. Tried put a spring compressor on it, a strut compressor is too big to fit in between the springs. I can get it to move a little now, but I fell like I'm doing some kind of damage with the amount of force it takes.

Whoever installed this before I bought it has about 3 inches of thread showing.. which puts the ring right inline with the upper a arm

    All of them.
Did you lube it up? I sprayed a bunch of wd40 on top and let it soak through the treads. Also did you loosen the pinch Allen bolt?

Yes and yes.. if you loosen the allen to much, it will screw it all up, which I did. Once I compressed the spring, the two sides or the ring lined back up and I was able to tighten it back up a bit.

So I got the spring compressor @ probably 300lbs of torque on it.. I was able to get it moving by putting the punch on the edge of the hole and hitting it with a hammer.. Slow going .. think 1 turn is about 1/8 of an inch or a little less

    .. yay..

Ok.. after about 4 painful full turns.. she loosened up a lot.. What's funny is I went to 2 in of thread and it's still sitting at the same height. Guess I will take it to an inch..

With the spring compressor on there, once I hit about 2.5inchs.. I could move it with my hand..

Something doesn't sound right. I have 700lbs coils and can loosen the pinch bolt all the way out. Then crank them up or down. Isn't easy but could be done 1 handed.
