Lego was mentioned, so I guess I'll throw my current project into this thread as well: been working on building a steamship model. I started by designing it in a Lego-based CAD program, and am now building it physically. It'll be a bit over four feet long when finished. I'm waiting on a parts order that will arrive somewhere in the nebulous future, so who knows when this thing will be finished.

Been pouring a lot of sets, but unable to finish a lot of them at the moment with my workload.

However, in my downtime I've been turning good dice from failed slabs into jewelry.

Last Saturday my dad, brother-in-law, and I built a pergola for my mom for her patio/fire pit

    20210403_162838.jpg

And not my work, but mom gave me a complete surprise of a birthday present and I wanted to share the three-generation project. I've seen some quilters post their work in this thread and figured they might appreciate this. The quilt top was made by my grandma out of scraps of fabric left over from sewing clothes for my mom and her brothers when they were young. Mom finished the quilt, and on the back is a butterfly made by my great grandmother that mom found while cleaning out my grandparents' house. My grandma passed away in 2008, and great grandma passed when mom was very young. I can't really articulate how much this means to me.
