I’m finally replacing my crappy stock Goodyear tires after about 5k. I was a bit disappointed that the PRO didn’t come with better off road tires. Anyway, tomorrow I’m having a set of Cooper Discoverer S/T MAXX’s installed!! I’m also going up a size; 265/70-R16 to 265/75-R16 so I’ll gain about a half inch of clearance. I can’t decide if I want the white lettering out or not??? Can’t wait to see some aggressive tires on my PRO!

I'm over 60 so that probably discounts my opinion but I like the white letters out.....

White letters out would definitely look nice on your Pro, But most go black out as you know. I'm 66 and I'd go for white letters out.

Went with raised white lettering out. Looks pretty nice if I don’t say so myself. Now I’ve gotta go get these babies on some rocks and mud!!966A515E-7A93-4FBD-80E0-F97D3ABE2192.jpg 489AA0DB-E9AC-4B5B-B525-472761A6444E.jpg CFD861C8-7CBA-4E85-8B96-5841B06EF33D.jpg

Love the look. Tires are off road DNA, white letters out give little visual refinement. Good choice. I'm getting close to tire replacement been looking at these I don't off road enough probably to justify them but I might have to just go for it. I think their is a thread dedicated to the Cooper ST Maxx, Again good choice.

When you get a chance can you give us an initial impression of them compared to the GY OEM wranglers. since you just removed the GY tires, youll have a pretty good impression.

Guess I didn't realize when I originally responded that you have black wheels, white letters out looks fantastic !

I love these new tires! I went camping this weekend and put them through a decent initial test. I aired down to 25psi and did probably 15 or so miles of mud, washboards, rocks, and some 4 low rock crawling with a full load of gear in the back. The ride was super smooth aired down off road, they didn’t slip once so I didn’t need to engage my rear locker, and after inspection when I got back home there were no chunks and only one or two pebbles stuck between tread. They’re also surprisingly very quiet cruising on the freeway for being a relatively aggressive tire.

The GY’s on the other hand... they chunked out from day one of off roading. I wouldn’t trust them on an extended off road trip, and would almost want to have two spares with me if I did. They’d be fine if you’re not really using your truck for what it was built for.
