Blue Cargo Bed Light Bulbs

I have a 2019 DCSB with the 3rd brake/cargo light w/ clear lens.

Want to replace White bulbs with Blue bulbs, but can't find blue 3rd brake/cargo bulbs. Have found tons of aftermarket 3rd brake light fixtures, and blue interior bulbs.

Thanks to anyone with info. I did Search the forums & only found 1 somewhat similar but unanswered question.

 

I could be wrong but I do not think you can change the LED's there. Might be why there aren't any "drop in bulbs" available and just a circuit board with diodes. I have seen some places that have a blue overlay for that location or change the entire assembly and drop in colored LED's

did you try entering "blue bulb brake light" into google? plenty of different blue bulbs offered, i would open that cover up and confirm the type of bulb style in there first before buying anything


keep in mind there are some funky laws out there regarding the use of a blue light on a vehicle, as well as some red and some flashing light restrictions, but that may or may not pertain to you so just a thought.

Yes I tried but only searching for bulbs on 3rd gen tacomas... may need to look deeper and just find the same type of bulb.

You are right about the laws. I looked and there is a Florida law against some exterior light colors. No red, red/white, or blue lights on and visible from directly in front of the vehicle, and no blue lights "displayed" on any vehicles except police. I think blue interior lights are ok as long as you don't flash them on and off behind someone as you are driving. Maybe green cargo bed lights would be better. I just want something that is less bright-white.
