My headunit would randomly crash but that was fixed with an update

BSM died a few weeks ago at 111k and driving gravel roads on a near daily basis

I’d check for a fuel leak. I found mine mostly leaks out the exhaust pipe.

BSM died in the first 500 miles. I found it mostly useless anyways so I never did anything about it.

Climate control fan now clicks a bit at 24k miles, need to get that replaced.

I’ve had two 3rd gens (2017 and 2018). No problems or complaints with either of them. I’m very happy with my 2018 and plan to keep it for a very long time.

Battery died at 18K while in line getting COVID shot. The nurses had to push me out to continue vaccinating others.
    Love my 2018.

Do you mind me asking why you went from the 2017 to a 2018 if you didn't have any complaints with the 2017?

I was hit from behind at a stop light and the 2017 was totaled. It needed a frame replacement among other damage. Replaced it with another Tacoma.

In full disclosure my only “complaints” were options I did not consider when buying the first truck. The main ones I regretted not getting were a long bed and the premium and tech package. However, when I bought the 2018 I got every available option that I wanted.

That makes sense! Glad you made it safely through the accident! Sounds like it worked out for the best. Thanks for the explanation!

had a leak between transfer case and manual gear box at 20k. Transfer case seal was replaced under warranty and seems to be fixed ... no other problems otherwise.
