    Hi,
Was wondering . I have a 98 Tacoma w/ manual transmission and 4 wheel. The Haynes manual ( in a round about way) states that you can use GL-5 75W 90 in transmission , transfer case ,and rear and front differentials. But they specify hypiod gear oil for front and rear duffs. In the transmission they say a API GL 4 or 5 but do not specify that it be a hypoid gear oil.
    I'm new to 4 wheeling.
    Thanks.
