I think I'll end up buying the Baja Squad. SAE approved to be certain enough that I don't get into any hassle in PA. We get a yearly safety inspection in Pa., plus the difference in price is only a few dollars more from the Sport and Pro type. I do hope it last for a long time. :fingerscrossed:

Lomax tonneau cover, oem bed lights, AJT Design chrome delete, black out badges & tailgate letters, AVS hood deflector & vent visors, Solkie tech hood supports, interior LED lights, Tufskinz mud guards, RedArc TowPro Liberty, bed mat, kicker speaker upgrade, Hikari ultra H11 low beams, Diode Dynamics SS3 fogs in yellow, Meso customs total taillight stage 1. Coming soon: Compact powered sub install Future mods planned: bigger tires (265/75/16) BILLSTIEN 5100 lift
I got the DD ss3 sport fog lights in amber. They are far better the the stock lights. And well priced. I'd recommend the pro version if you can pay a little more. Being in PA too having sae lighting is a good thing as some inspection mechanics can be picky.

I have the DD SS3 Pros in amber and love them. Couldn’t justify the Max pricing. I’m almost positive the Sports and Pros are street legal. The Max are not if I remember correctly.

Not just off road. Even with the SS3 Max’s extreme output, the Fog pattern meets the SAE J583 standard as a Foglamp, for legal on-road use. For states that require them, we also offer snap-on covers for your SS3 Pod. These covers are available in a variety of colors and keep your SS3 Pod clean and protected from dirt, dust, or whatever else the road throws your way! Please check your local laws and regulations for aiming, installation, and applicability.

In SAE fog pattern yes, it has sharper cut offs than the Pros. In Driving pattern it is not, unlike the Sport and Pro which are SAE driving compliant.

probably off selling the pro's and getting the max instead so you dont have to loose out on triple shipping.
seller pays you, you ship to seller
you buy max, pay ship once

I received my SAE yellow Baja Ds the other day and installed them yesterday. As I was reading the instructions to install, I decided to simply access the fog lights from the top instead of prying open the fender covers in the front. I was so glad I accessed the lights this way...

...so after the install, what a difference! I really like my Baja’s. These lights exceeded my expectations.

Seems like everyone was recommending the DD SS3's over BD and you went with the BD anyway?

When I was reading up the comparisons Crash did, SS3 was clearly superior imo. I ended up going with the SS3 pros and they are just amazing.

Before reading this thread I was going to be buying the Baja Designs fogs. Now that i've seen this thread i'm going to be switching my choice from BD to the Diode Dynamics Pro fogs.

Thanks for all the good information from everyone!

Little of this, little of that.
I can vouch for the DD SS3 Yellow Sports and they’re are PLENTY bright enough. I highly recommend them.

I can’t imagine anything brighter being necessary but to each their own.

Just make sure they hit a little lower than your headlights so you’re not blinding anyone. I also checked the gaps around the light to make sure they were even on all sides. There’s really not a whole lot to aiming them besides that.

Same, after reading through several of the threads on here I went with the DD SS3 Pro's in amber. Can't wait!
